Enhanced cloud-based access control #
Joining from the New York office, Bernhard elaborated on Kisi’s vision, values, and what makes Kisi’s team always strive for enhanced access control. Read on to learn how our users benefit from these drivers.
The Kisi vision #
‘Connect people and spaces’ is the vision that guides and inspires us to push our limits. This is not another catchy sentence jotted down on a piece of paper but a promise to our users, employees, and partners. To embody our vision, we focus on the following components:
- To connect people and spaces, admins need to implement, authorize, troubleshoot, and monitor spaces.
- Different people need access to different types of facilities at different times.
- Spaces need to provide and utilize data to alert or boost productivity and collaboration.
Access control in action - Kisi dashboard demo #
Managing access on a day-to-day basis is a demanding task without the right tools. Every new Kisi release strives to make access management simpler and more effective. Watch the webinar to see a quick Kisi dashboard demo presented by Bernhard.
The drivers #
Each year brings new challenges and opportunities. Four main drivers shape Kisi’s 2023 strategy:
- End users: The increasingly popular hybrid work environment emphasizes flexibility, allowing people to work wherever they prefer.
- Admins: Admins need to enable those more complex workflows without much effort while staying compliant and ensuring everything goes smoothly.
- Spaces: Property technology facilitates data generation necessary for analyzing past and future events.
- System integrators: To help users feel less confused about all the tech integration options, system integrators refine their solutions and focus on providing value-added services.
Value-driven access control #
Forward, trusted, human, and responsible are the four values that invigorate Kisi. Our people embody them and our customers and partners benefit from them.
Forward – Integrations
Kisi’s philosophy is that 1+1=5. Our customers benefit from integrating Kisi with other essential tools, streamlining their business processes. The extensive product documentation and readily available API further empower our customers.
Taking this one step further, users can have a smoother user experience within one single app with the white-label functionality while Kisi works seamlessly in the background. Kisi also enables solutions by enhancing various compatible security hardware.
Trusted – Technology
Kisi is proud to be one of the few access control vendors with a national supply chain. Always striving for advanced products and functionality, it comes as no surprise that the product team has the biggest headcount.
As a primary cloud-based provider, we understand the need for resilience and robust deployments and allow edge caching, meaning you can count on Kisi’s products even when the cloud isn’t reachable.
The ISO 27001 certification serves as a trust factor in any industry supported by the rest of the country and industry-specific requirements Kisi complies with.
Human – Connection
All Kisi customers can leverage our onboarding program supported by a dedicated onboarding manager. Kisi’s product documentation and engaging academy can do wonders for users who are relatively new to access control.
If you experience any issues, the Kisi support team is always eager to help with any challenges you might encounter.
You can also check and subscribe to the system status updates.
Responsible – User experience
Admins and users love Kisi’s intuitive interface. That doesn’t necessitate a lack of functionality. On the contrary, Kisi’s easy-to-use dashboard is highly customizable. And we’re not stopping there. We’re always interested in hearing your feedback to improve our product and your experience.
The numerous design awards testify to our sleek product design and user experience.
The Kisi Controller Pro 2 #
The latest version of our controller, the Kisi Controller Pro 2 enables Wiegand readers. It empowers you to migrate your access control system to the cloud on your terms, considering your needs and budget.
Kisi allows all hybrid migration options, from keeping your entire legacy system and adding the Kisi controller to embarking on a completely new Kisi experience. Kisi can even overlay your existing building system to enable mobile access for a smooth landlord and user experience.
What to expect in 2023 #
Kisi users can expect a bright future with all the features we have lined up. Joining from the Stockholm office Carl shared 4 key segments we’ll focus on. Watch the webinar to see how he finished with a bang.
Connecting people and spaces will become easier than ever #
Mix-and-match hardware with Kisi
The Controller Pro 2 already allows upgrading to cloud-based access control with Kisi while keeping your legacy credentials, readers, and wiring. To introduce mobile unlocks, you can also connect your Kisi Controller Pro 2 with your existing Wiegand controller. Watch the webinar to learn what we have to look forward to in early 2023, like keypad and QR code scanners support.
Always know what’s going on
Insights and analytics will enable you to always know what’s going on. The event history is going to turn into a live event feed. Richer context, flexible filtering, an option to drill down into different departments and groups, and more exciting reporting and analytics features are coming your way.
Kisi will also introduce anomaly detection so you can better understand what’s going on in your facility. Use already generated data to identify potential threats and opportunities. Watch Carl’s examples to get a clearer picture of what Kisi’s expanded capabilities in data enable.
Access control made easy
Making access control easier to manage and use is Kisi’s top priority. You’ll be able to add holiday exceptions to the unlock schedules and access restrictions to doors and users, respectively. Hear more about allowing admins and customers to bring existing legacy setups, Apple access, Android wear, and other exciting things to come.
Scale as a reseller
Kisi resellers can look forward to the reseller portal, which will empower them to manage organizations, subscriptions, and hardware from a single interface across organizations. Resellers can also monitor the hardware metrics within the portal.
