Exercise.com is a fitness business software platform that includes everything you need to manage your fitness studio, gym, personal training business, or wellness center through their custom-branded web and mobile apps designed specifically for fitness businesses.
Exercise.com integrates with Kisi, through their iPhone and Android apps, to provide access to fitness facilities for customers around the world. This access is vital to gym owners who operate often unstaffed 24-fitness facilities.
It’s our pleasure to welcome Joel Ohman, CEO & Co-Founder at Exercise.com to Kisi’s Partner Spotlight Series. Many clients love the Kisi x Exercise.com integration and we can’t wait to hear more.
How did the Kisi and Exercise.com relationship start? #
The Kisi and Exercise.com partnership started when we needed a partner that could bring both hardware and software door access control expertise to our brick and mortar gym customers.
The Exercise.com platform is something that many of our customers say is the best gym management software on the market, allowing many of our gym customers to run their entire business on the platform, and enabling them to cancel three or even four other software platforms to simplify and save money.
However, we are a software platform, and besides our gym POS and credit card terminals, we don’t offer any hardware solutions, so having a sophisticated hardware partner like Kisi was, and is, really important to us.
Kisi has been a great partner and we look forward to serving our gym and fitness club customers together.
What does security mean to Exercise.com? #
At Exercise.com, we take security very seriously. With thousands of transactions and events flowing through our platform every minute, it’s important that we lead with best-in-class security.
We are fully HIPAA compliant, undergo regular 3rd-party cybersecurity audits, our payments infrastructure is PCI Level 1 compliant, and we are a 100% cloud software solution, relying on enterprise providers like Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services, with our data stored in Google and Amazon facilities that hold all major security and data privacy accreditations, including SOC1 – SSAE-16, SOC2, PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and FIPS 140-2.
It’s great to have a partner like Kisi who we can rely on to take security just as seriously as we do.
How does Exercise.com support connecting people and spaces? #
With Exercise.com fitness businesses can run their entire business, whether in-person or online, or both! We have customers who run in-person brick and mortar gyms, customers who are fitness influencers who run their business 100% online, and customers who are everything in between.
We support connecting people to in-person spaces with robust gym management software for doing things like gym check-ins, booking, scheduling, payments, messaging, workout delivery, fitness assessments, waivers and contracts, marketing automations, and much more.
What makes access control crucial to fitness businesses? #
Our gym owner customers with brick and mortar locations want to know that their facility is safe, secure, and working efficiently to serve their gym members and clients.
With the Exercise.com and Kisi partnership this means that it’s important that everything “just works”, because we want to make our customers happy and successful, and helping them serve more clients, grow their business, and earn more revenue are key goals by which we measure our own success.
What is your experience with the Kisi integration so far? #
Kisi has been a great partner by inviting us into their development roadmap, and we have returned the favor. We are always looking for ways to make our shared customer’s experience even better.
Can you give us a glimpse of any exciting plans or projects Exercise.com is working on? #
One of the things our customers are most excited about on the Exercise.com platform is our new payments platform. Both in-person and ecommerce customers rave about the high converting sales funnels, fast checkout, integrated booking and scheduling, upsells to increase AOV, and more.
We really enjoy taking the best practices from the online world with our online fitness business customers and then sharing that with our brick and mortar customers to make their businesses generate even more revenue, and vice versa.
Next up we are releasing brand new custom branded fitness apps with even more functionality than ever before; these are fully custom-branded to our customers and available as real apps in the App Store and Google Play Store because we are all about building our customers fitness brands so that when they are more successful, then we are more successful.
We are thankful for the partnership with Kisi, and would encourage any fitness business owners to check out our comparison guide on the best gym management software to see what our customers say about us and how we compare to others in the market.
This was very insightful. Thanks, Joel Ohman. Feel free to check out Exercise.com to learn more and read how to integrate Exercise.com with Kisi. Until next time!
